Live video: Live Performances
The Oddity is a female fronted alternative rock band based out of the Inland Empire. They’ve been performing consistently throughout Southern California since 2019. Their latest single “Angela” was released in April on EOI Records, along with a music video featured on Vevo's Incoming Alternative playlist. It was recorded at Edge Studios and performed by Melanie Reynolds on bass and vocals and Justin Strickland on Drums. The band's next single "Alone" will be let loose on May 17th along with a video on Vevo.
In 2022, The Oddity self-released their first album featuring singles “Arizona”, “Devastated”, and “Famous” breaking into the scene with an indie rock sound. In 2023, they leaned into a more distinct rock sound.
Influenced by rock legends such as Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, and beyond, The Oddity's music has a nostalgic yet entirely unique and fresh feel that breaks genre barriers and offers a truly eclectic mix of sounds. You won't want to overlook this emerging band as they have a promising future and superstar potential.
The Oddity was featured in an Artist Spotlight by the Experimental Acoustics Research Studio (EARS) Student Group at the University of California Riverside:
"Taking you straight to the heart of rock n' roll, The Oddity pumps out feel-good song after song. They stand out with powerfully gritty vocals, drums you can't help but groove with, and a guitar of pure ear candy." - EARS at University of California Riverside
