About the Band
Bio
The Oddity is a female fronted alternative rock band based out of the Inland Empire. They’ve been performing consistently throughout Southern California since 2019. Their latest EP “Angela's Revival” was released in June 2024 on EOI Records, along with a few music videos featured on Vevo's Incoming Alternative playlist. It was recorded at Edge Studios and performed by Melanie Reynolds on bass and vocals, Justin Strickland on drums, Austin Jenkins on keys/rhythm guitar and Jake Giglio on lead guitar.
In 2022, The Oddity self-released their first album featuring singles “Arizona”, “Devastated”, and “Famous” breaking into the scene with an indie rock sound. In 2023, they leaned into a "heavier" sound releasing “On Fire” before taking that energy into 2024 with "Angela's Revival".
The band's original music has grown over the years as they developed their voice, expanding from that nostalgic indie rock influence into their very own "hard rock" sound. Heavy riffs, powerful vocals, intense drums, and catchy melodies come together to leave you blown away.
The Oddity is also a working cover band performing hits from the 1960s-2020s from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, No Doubt, Weezer, Muse, Elle King and more.
Acoustic sets are available upon request. If you're looking for a more relaxed sound for your event, the band can play up to 4 hours of acoustic music with a blend of light percussion, acoustic guitar, and bass.
